Automobile price in Myanmar is on the increase within K 2-5 million, 7Day News reported, citing market sources.

The price hike is contributed by sale of car import permits by owners of end-of-life cars officially deposited, according to an agent.

A permit is worth K 11 million in the countryside and K 12 million in Yangon, the commercial hub of Myanmar.

A Toyata Harier 2.5 G would cost around K 40 million, which is out of reach of most deposited car owners, with the import duty of K 25 million.

Super Saloons, SE Saloons, HiAce Surf and Surf KZN top most demanded list in Myanmar market.
